Gaur Purnima celebrations in The Netherlands

Gaur Purnima is celebrated as the most auspicious day by Vaisnava tradition of Sanatan Dharan. This year Gaura Purnima is on 8th March, Thursday. In some parts, it is also observed as the Holi festival. This festival is observed with joy and pomt with color in reverence to the past times of the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna in one of His past times in Vrindavan.

The most significance behind this celebrations is the appearance day of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. He is Sri Krishna Himself appeared more than five hundered years ago in Mayapur, India in the mood of Radharani, the queen of supreme devotion. Sri Caitanya appeared to teach the application of the Bhagavad Gita As It Is that was retold to Arjun more than five thousand years ago. He is accomanied by Nitya Nanda, non other than Sri Balaram or Ananta Sesa.

The Program bwgins at 18:00 hours with bhajan Kirtan, avishekh and offerings.
