The cultural dimension of the Vedic livelihood stresses to observe the auspicious days of the Vedic calendar like the Victory of the Lord Shri Ram against the demon king Ravan (this year on 14th October 2013). Celebrating this day calls naturally the unity among the families and neighbors. As the tradition goes, the worship of the nine forms of the Goddes Dura precedes this day and the offerings to the goddess like siblings of grains and flowers is shared with special blessings. The blessings are bestowed by the elderly persons to the youngsters, so everyone tries to be with the family. The blessings are bestowed to empower to become ideal person in this world and achieve the goal of life, ie to make one's return to the kingdom of God the life after.
