Radhadesh Mellows was marvelous!!

Any event that begins with the praise of the devotees of the Lord Krishna is awe-inspiring.

Radhadesh mellows 2016 was thus marvelous. More than five hundred devotees from dozens of different countries embraced each other as they love the Lord, they love everyone. It was really a spiritual bliss.  

Marking 50 hours continuous Sankirtan; singing the Mahamantra: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare, in many different melodies was the most amazing unprecedented event of the year 2016 in Belgium that celebrates the golden jubilee year of the International Society of Krishna Consciousness initiated in the West by the founding Acarya AC Bhaktivendant Swami Prabhupada. The previous mellow events were much shorter. 


Beginning with the Guruastakam couplets in praise of the spiritual master of this world on 29th January, the participants forgot the following three days their domestic chore and the work stress of their material existence, being absorbed in the art of Krishna consciousness. The program in-charge Manu prabhu and his team in the beginning highlighted that it is an effort of love and harmony, which indeed goes the management cost of over thirty thousand Euros, many devotees were surprised for it being free for all.  Fully satisfied on this management services, there arose a feeling, at least in me, that if I have money, I would have donated to them as a token of gratitude. 

The managerial setup under the new leadership of Manohara prabhu and Malati mataji, the Temple President and the Vice President reflected very effective operational maneuver in this event what actually an organization means.  Three times meals- Prasad was served and everything was very peaceful. Everyone’s comfort was perfectly taken care. As soon as one inters the Sankirtan hall, one suddenly feels being in another world, the spiritual oasis, happiness from within;  in stark contrary to what comes to experience outside.

 All glories to Srila Prabhupada who has given us such a talisman for peace.
