Krishna bewustzijn beweging in Boxtel boekt succes, met aandacht van de media

18-10-14, Boxtel. ' We vormen een familiekring waarin iedereen is welkom ongeachte zijn achtergronden' is de kern boodschap van twee kliene meisjes van tien en elf jaar leeftijd; Vrinda Gautam en Enid Ossendorp. in zijn welkom toespraak.

De zaal van het Gemeenschaphuis De Rots Boxtel was vol met bezoekers, fortuinlijk om te zingen, dansen en eten in het Krishna bewustzijn.
' Het is een genade van Srila Prabhupada- dat hij de kennis heeft gegeven om mensen aan elkaar te binden voor de gelukzaligheid voor zichzelf en anderen. De kennis van Bhagavad Gita, dat iedere levenswezen eigenlijk de ziel is. Op basis daarvan zijn we allemaal een familie' zeiden ze terwijl er een grote applause was. Dan begon de transcendentale muziek; Hare Krishna Maha Mantra non-stop gedurende 4 uur terwijl de vegetarische maaltijd was geserveerd.
Dat de welkom tospraak door deze twee kleine meisjes te horen krijgen luidt dat, de Hare Krishna bewustzijn een stroom is voor de nieuwe generatie van de wereld; oude wijn ( soma ras: de extase drankje van de hemelse planeet) in de nieuwe fles die de dorst door de moderne hedodenism zal uitdoven.
Het beoefening van de wetenschap van het Krishna-bewustzijn in Boxtel trok de aandacht van de media. Hieronder is de tekst over deze programma uit de Brabantsdagblad gereproduceerd.

Hare Krishna! Terwijl 
terraszitters en winkelend
publiek geamuseerd of
verrast opkijken, trekt 
zaterdagmiddag een 
groepje bont geklede 
mensen zingend door
de straten van Boxtel. 
Het zijn aanhangers 
van het eeuwenoude 
Krishna-geloof 
dat stamt uit India. Ze trekken van het station naar
gemeenschapshuis De Rots, waar ze samen mediteren, eten en 
zingen tot hun almachtige, Krishna. De Rots is voor de gelegenheid
omgebouwd tot een vrolijke ruimte met kussentjes, een 
altaartje en een buffet. 
De bijeenkomst is opgezet door Boxtelaar Nanda Gautam.

uitgekozen voor 
haar landelijke activiteit
 die Kirtan Connection 
wordt genoemd. 
Zaterdag 18 oktober 
komt een 'bont gezelschap
van allerlei culturen' 
naar Boxtel,
aldus de organisatie. 

Eerst staat een optocht door Boxtel met muziek en dans op het 
programma, de zogeheten Harinam. Daarna gaat de Kirtan van 
start, een meditatief programma, in gemeenschapshuis De Rots. 
Kirtan Connection wordt op regelmatige basis, op verschillende data, 
verspreid over Nederland gehouden. Maar doorgaans gaat het dan 
om de grotere plaatsen zoals Amsterdam of Den Haag.
