16-8-14. 'If you want to see the practice of love - the loving exchange between the people of all background, race and religion, without any tinge of lust and ego, you attened the retreat His Holiness Bhakti Caru Swami Maharaj organises in different parts of the world every year' said Yasoda Priya mataji, a Belgian devotess speaking with the participants of the Naamhat program in Boxtel, Holland. She is relating her observations of the retreat held in Malaga, Spain early this month.
'In the retreat, one takes up the problems of the others, if any problems arises and everyone tries to see how to make the people nearby happy', she said, relating to many organisational work and arrangements for the participants more than two hundred of them. Really, if that type of disposition is adopted by everyone, there will be no problems in the families and the society at large. And, 'it is always practical' keeping the Lord Krishna in the center of our activities and the devotional attitude required to display from within, it is possible that people can live in complete happiness' she replies to the arising questions.
Yasoda mataji is an outstanding example of a Krishna Conscious person, very energetic and active although in her late age of 86. Last December she attented the International Retreat in Ujjain, India and she could defeat in the daily recours of other young devotees. Her husband Wilfred is also a pious devotees of Krishna, also aged 85, drives hours long to attend the Vedic Cultural Programs.
Yasoda and Wilfred are to us like the elderly parents, and they worry for us too. In the separated families due to political problems at home (Bhutan), children looks out their roots- the love from the grand parents. This aspiration gets fulfilled when they visit our home for the Naamhat programs. It is amaging that Yasoda and Wilfred, being in this advanced age practices Krishna Consciousness in their lives perfectly and they doe deserve a prize for recognition.
