Its the month for harvesting material yeild from the corn, maize and barley field and also harvest the stpiritual wealth by devotional service to Damodar. Mother Yasoda bound little mischievous Krishna with ropes to the grinding mortar for having stolen butter and thus He came to be known as Damodara. The significance is in that the Lord of the Universe can be bound only by the rope of pure love. During thus Damodara month, devotees get the opportunity to personally offer Arati to Lord Damodara with ghee lamps and sing the very enchanting ‘Damodara astakam’, to receive the special mercy of the Lord. A few cream products of India; the professionals working or studying in Germany's border city with The Netherlands were the guests invited at the birthday party of Siddhi Bhardwaj, a little girl whose parents Om Prakash Bhardwaj and Uma mataji holds high post at a university located in Aachen. Being educated, they have the opportunity to come across the globe and show their expertise. It would be even better if they cultivate Krishna consciousness because that will add spiritual value in whatever they would do. 19/10/13 Vedic cultural program focused on recognizing the position of women and their protection as given in the Vedic literature. Arjun did not want to fight the Mahabharat war on account of the importance that protection must be given to protect women who otherwise become contaminated and produce unwanted population in the society. For this importance men should not be engaged in the warfare. Society populated with unwanted citizens will not be peace loving because there will be identity clash. The cultural dimension of the Vedic livelihood stresses to observe the auspicious days of the Vedic calendar like the Victory of the Lord Shri Ram against the demon king Ravan (this year on 14th October 2013). Celebrating this day calls naturally the unity among the families and neighbors. As the tradition goes, the worship of the nine forms of the Goddes Dura precedes this day and the offerings to the goddess like siblings of grains and flowers is shared with special blessings. The blessings are bestowed by the elderly persons to the youngsters, so everyone tries to be with the family. The blessings are bestowed to empower to become ideal person in this world and achieve the goal of life, ie to make one's return to the kingdom of God the life after.
