Naamhat- Vedic Cultural Center

The day after the  Lord Sri Krishna Janmastami  is the  Appearance Day of His Divine Grace Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada , the  Founder-Acarya  of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).  He is the savior of the world from sinful maneuvers though his preaching of the Vedic literatures.  Srila Prabhupada was sent by the Lord to fulfil Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's prediction  Prtvithe ache yata nagaradi grama, sarvatra pracara haibe more nama   - In every town and village of the world, My name will be heard . Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura wrote in his  Sajjona-tosani , "Soon there will be a time when the chanting of Krishna's name will be heard in England, France, Russia, Germany and America." ISKCON Naamhat in Boxtel was started from Pavitropana Ekadasi, the fourth Saturday of August 2002. So our fiscal year begins from the month of August.  The year 2012/13 was the most successful one.  Just a month earlier on 24h July 2012 we have the blessings of His Holiness Bhakticaru Swami Maharaj. He stayed one night in this Naamhat and held Bhagavad Gita discourse in the hall where hundred of devotees attended. Here under presented are the pictorial account of the preachers from whom many have benefited and inspired to develop Krishna Consciousness. 21 Aug 13. For brothers as well as sisters, Vedic tradition reserves the day for them to celbrate their relations and renew for eac others' protection. This day is on the full moon day of the month of August; 21st this year. It is called Janai purnima and also Raksha bandhan. Janai or the sacred thread is worn by men of higher consciousness who have undergone the sanskar called bratabadha. Sanskar means purification process from which sankriti comes, ie culture. It is the Vedic culture that elevates one to purificatory process. Janai is worn across the shoulder and there are prescribed methods to be followed strictly according to the Vedic wisdom. Raksha bandhan is dedicated to foster brother- sister ralationship by wearing similar type of sacred emblem around the wrist. Sisters offers this emblem of love to their brothers on this day. But before offering to wear it, janai and raksha bandhan emblem are purified through Vedic hyms and firstly offered to the the Lord Krishna. O

ISKCON Namahatta in Boxtel neemt de terugblik van zijn activiteiten van het afgelopen jaar 2012-13  in zijn 3 e zaterdag programma van deze maand. De 12 e jaargang van de Naamhat is nu begonnen. Naamhat Deities ‘Ten eerste, help de mensen in je omgeving. Daarna denk je aan anderen te helpen’. Dit was de opdracht van Zijne Heiligheid Sri Bhakti Caru Swami Maharaj in de jaar 2002 toen ik voor de tweede keer hem mag begroeten. Hij vertelde aan mij dat de beste help je kunt aanbieden aan de mensen is het geven van de gelegenheid voor Krishna bewustzijn. Er is geen andere hogere welzijn aangelegenheid dan het Krishna bewustzijn. Ook Mahavishnu Swami en Navayogendra Swami Maharaj vertelde mij hetzelfde. Dan had ik op 18 augustus 2002 de Naamhat in Boxtel begonnen. Een verslag van de opening van de Naamhat Boxtel was verschenen in de Krishna Bhakti Magazijn van augustus 2002.
