If the technological innovations ideed have some adverse effect on the social environment such as the spread of nuclear radioactive caesium Vedic cultural festivals such as the rathayatra may be a solution to such problems because the vibration of the mahamantra can counter-react against the polution of the ether.
Ratha yatra discharges vibrant bouncing of the spiritually surcharged energy acting upon the mercyful glance of the Lord of the Universe Sri Jaganath Baladev and Subhadra. What is not impossible to the Lord? If the exploitation of the material energy namely the nuclear devastation due to mens hankering to lord it over by themselves would have the negative effect for which scientific solution may have not been found yet conclusively, the spiritual energy would be remedy if pursued in proper ways as mentioned in the Vedas. This is because the spiritual energy is an antidote to the material energy.
Many open air festivals does ends with some adverse reactions or conducted with lots of security provisions, Rathayatra goes out to the public fun peacefully. No security measures required, as is seen in the Rathayatra in Eindhoven. The deities were from the Naamhat Boxtel.
One day we had fire ceremoney infront of the deities and had very loud kirtan early in the morning. Our neighbour is a millitary man. We were afraid that we must have disturbed his sleep. Police might entervene and our yagya would not be successful, We prayed to Jaganath to protect us.
Then later on the day we met the neighour and we sought forgiveness for the noice. But he was surprised. He said; 'Oh! you did kirtan? Perhaps thats why I had very nice sleep this morning'. We were glad to hear this and see this communal harmoney as the effect of the spiritual energy.
While nonsense noices polutes the air, the sound vibration produced in the glory of the Lord clams the ether which is more subtle than the air, so there will always be a feeling of peace and tranquility in the entire environment where vedic cultural programs are held. Perhaps only demonic nature may get agitated or will be driven away at bay. That is one of the unseen benefits of the Jaganath Rathayatra. Gautam.
