Vanaf 12 oktober t/m 10 november 2011 is de gunstigste maand van alle maanden "Kartik", de maand van Sri Damodara, een andere naam van de schepper- Sri Krishna. De maand Kartik staat ook bekend als Radharani’s maand omdat deze maand heel dierbaar is aan Srimati Radharani. De toegewijden offeren iedere dag een dia lampje aan Sri Damodara (Krishna) en zingen de Damodarastakam gedurende deze maand.

In deze heilige maand wordt aanbevolen om elke dag een dia te offeren aan Sri Damodara Krishna. Hierbij wordt ook de Damodharastakam gezongen. U kunt deze zang hier downloaden.
