Illuminating the Illusioned Hearts

Joy and sorrow are nöt still.

They come as they will.

As you desire you might get ;

But analyze what is best.

Dont be afraid of obstacles;

they are just race hurdles

but remember about the reality;

to develop your dormant identity.

You are having a choice;

to be a fool or wise.

Fool tries to gratify themselves.

Wise indulges in discovering self.

Problems will come and go;

you are also standing in a row.

When call will come you have to go;

by packing your bag and leaving the show.

But now is time and now is chance;

to realize truth then chant and dance.

Pray always for divine fate;

then illusioned heart will illuminate.

Een kort omschrijving Ekadasi

In elke maand zijn er twee Ekadasi. Ekadasi betekent letterlijk de 11e van de dag voor volle maan en nieuwe maan. Deze dag is ook als een Madhava tithi genoemd, de favorite dag van de Heer Krishna. Om Ekadasi volledig na te leven, zoals Ambarisha Maharaja dat deed, is erg zeldzaam. We zouden het zo moeten proberen te doen, maar worden beïnvloedt door dit huidige tijdperk, Kali- yuga . Maharaja Ambarisha leefde in Satya- yuga , en hij was zo sterk dat hij een jaar lang zou hebben kunnen vasten zonder te slapen, terwijl hij op één been zou staan, zonder water te drinken of zelfs maar adem te halen. In Kali- yuga zijn we echter noch sterk noch vergevorderd; maar we zijn toch fortuinlijk. The auspicious month of Kartik, (8th October to 19th November) more popular known as the Month of Damodara, is here once again heralding the spiritually enlivening ‘Festival of Lights’. Its the month for harvesting material yeild from the corn, maize and barley field and also harvest the stpiritual wealth by devotional service to Damodar. 6/6/13 Santa Barbara, USA, . Dear Devotees, Please accept my best wishes. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. A few days ago when I got to know that H.H. Giriraj Swami Maharaja was in Santa Barbara I decided to cut short my visit to Sacramento by one day and visit him. My initial plan was to spend two days with my very dear godbrother Udayananda Prabhu in Sacramento. When I informed him of my change of plan, he was not at all happy but when I explained the reason he understood my need to visit Giriraj Maharaja. Fortunately H.H. Indradyumna Swami Maharaja was also present with Giriraj Maharaja. He spends one month every year in Santa Barbara to prepare himself for his Polish tour. It was indeed a spiritual retreat to meet these two very exalted devotees and very dear disciples of Srila Prabhupada.
