In a unique offering for ISKCON’s 50 th  anniversary, two devotees have made a preaching trip to Antarctica, the southernmost and coldest continent in the world. The two held the first kirtan in Antarctica and distributed Prabhupada’s books there for the first time, placing the Bhagavad-gita As It Is in several Antarctic research stations. We are delighted to invite you to the ‘Srila Prabhupada Memorial Festival and 71st Vyasa Puja of His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami’ at ISKCON Ujjain from 12th to 18th September 2016. 17th September is the day when Srila Prabhupada arrived in America to spread Krishna Consciousness throughout the world, and H.H. Bhakti Charu Swami honours Srila Prabhupada on this date, whilst also allowing devotees to celebrate Maharaj’s own birthday. Let’s say I am in the train and someone asks me: “Where are you going?” and I say: “I don’t know”. Then the person asks: “Where did you come from?” And again I say: “I don’t know”. What kind of situation is this, normal or abnormal? Yes, we say this situation is abnormal. You don’t know where you came from nor do you know where you are going. One might say: “this person is in need of treatment!” If I say: “Okay you are 45 years old now. Where were you 45 years ago?” He says:

Bhaktivedanta Manor marked the start of a new chapter in its history on Friday 10th June, as the groundbreaking ceremony for the long awaited Haveli building was led by UK Prime Minister David Cameron.  The ceremony formed part of the Manor’s offerings to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ISKCON, upon which Mr Cameron heartily congratulated ISKCON on by praising Srila Prabhupada on his creation of a “global mission”. A reception of over 300 people, including Parliamentary Secretary Under State Shailesh Vara, devotees and patrons, was held in a marquee over the spot where the new Shree Krishna Haveli will be built. HH Bhakti Charu Swami, HH Radhanath Swami, HH Sivarama Swami and HG Praghosa Das GBC were also in attendance. Therefore the heart of every living being is constantly seeking beauty, charm, and ecstasy. Therefore the Lord descends into this world to distribute prema bhakti divine love.
