Navaratra, the nine days of the worship of Nava Durga Devi has begun and continues till 6th October in the Naamhat Boxtel Dhaam. On this day the victory of Sri Ram, the supreme lord will be celebrated. He subdued the atheist king Ravan and set the principle of religion to follow without hinderences. As part of the celebrations, ghatasthapana is established and the daily worship according to the Vedic directions is continuing here. On 6th October, the Victory day of Sri Ram will be celebrated signified by the acceptance of the prasad of Durga maa. For this, jamara is growing, a special maize siblins that Durga maa would be pleased with. Accepting the blessing prasad will continue for a week to enable people from far away places also to come together and have the feast joyfully. Its the Vedic tradition that the people visit to their elders and seek the blessings of the Lord Sri Rama and Durga maa through them.
