Dit lijkt precies uit de asana die in de vedische tijdperk de koning Parikshit maharaj heeft klaar gezet voor Zijne Heiligheid Sukadeva toen onthulde hij de Srimad Bhagavatam. Shyamlal Prabhu's Glorious Departure By: His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami Maharaj, Durban. Our very dear Godbrother, Shyamlal Prabhu, left his body on the evening of 5th January in Durban, South Africa. I was in Pune, India, at that time. However, as soon as I received that news I decided to go to Durban to bid my farewell to him. I immediately made changes to my schedule and drove to Mumbai to catch a flight to South Africa.   The funeral took place on the morning of 7th of January 2014 and I was fortunate enough to be there in time to attend that ceremony. Thousands of Shyamlal Prabhu's admirers and well-wishers participated in the ceremony and it turned out to be a grand and glorious occasion, befitting a Vaisnava of Shyamlal Prabhu’s stature. Uddhava-Gita discourse in the Vaikuntha atmosphere of Iskcon Ujjain by: Ramananda Raya, Belgium Two times before I had visited Iskcon Ujjain. The progress on so many levels is simply amazing. In 2008 when I first entered the new temple I had immediately experienced the Vaikuntha atmosphere: the temple is always open, all classes and programs are given with open doors, people can always walk in at any time of the day and they do with tens and hundreds at a time. Ujjain, previously known as Avantika, is already a very special place, one of the oldest cities in India. According to the Vedic sources Ujjain must be millions of years old. Krishna and Balarama were receiving their education in Ujjain 5000 years ago.  Therefore nowadays also Ujjain is a very peaceful place.   But  Iskcon Ujjain offers much more than peace. Is everyone comfortably situated? Our movement is very small now but very soon there will be a time when we will have huge temples everywhere, where we can accommodate thousands of people. In Mayapur, we are building a temple where in one hall we can seat twenty five thousand people and that is just one section of the hall. That will be the largest temple in the world and we will start our construction in the year 2000. This movement is only about thirty, thirty-one years old in the West. Srila Prabhupada came to America in 1965 and he set up ISKCON in 1966. Within ten years time, Srila Prabhupada spread this movement all over the world.
